The Digital Marketing Institute (DMI), a provider of Digital Marketing Certification, has launched its first Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Digital Marketing course, following overwhelming demand from marketers.

The decision to launch the course comes following DMI’s latest Membership Survey in 2023, which found AI to be the top skill members are looking to develop over the next 12 months.

The course will bridge the AI knowledge gap for marketers of all levels, from junior all the way through to CMO level. Through a combination of hands-on practical lessons, toolkits and real-world examples, students will learn how to leverage AI technologies to gain key insights and refine campaigns.

Today’s top marketers are seizing the opportunity to harness the AI revolution. This course will support those in the profession to realise their full potential by providing them with the resources and skills they need to adopt AI technologies in the workplace.

The course is designed to develop, enhance and optimise digital marketing activities, help students to understand and implement AI data-driven marketing, and get to grips with key AI tools like ChatGPT and Stability AI for research.

Learners will also be equipped to use AI tools to assist with content development, data-driven decision-making, creative design and more.

Delivered online, the course is a total of 5.5 hours of self-paced learning content, and is broken down into four interactive modules, consisting of:

  • Module 1 – AI-Driven Digital Marketing
  • Module 2 – Implementing AI-Driven Digital Marketing
  • Module 3 – AI Tools for Marketing: ChatGPT, Stability AI, and Other Smart Tools
  • Module 4 – Essential Skills for Marketers in an AI-Driven World

Ken Fitzpatrick, CEO of Digital Marketing Institute, said: “AI is arguably the biggest trend to hit the marketing sector in more than a decade. New tools are being released daily and AI’s ability to enhance marketing strategies is increasing all the time. This course has been designed to make sure marketers have the tools and knowledge to capitalise on the opportunity this technology presents.

“The beauty of the AI in Digital Marketing course is that the skills our students learn are easily and immediately implementable, meaning marketers can apply their knowledge to optimise their work the following day. We can’t wait to hear the feedback from the marketing community for this course and see how our learners implement their new skills.”

The Digital Marketing Institute certification is globally recognised, and a real value add to a marketer’s experience. 75% of employers say they are more likely to hire candidates with a DMI certification on their CV (DMI, Corporate Skills Gap Survey, 2023), while 79% of DMI graduates said that they got a promotion within six months after completing a DMI course (DMI Graduate Survey, 2022).
