Optimizing your Facebook Ad campaigns for optimal Ad frequency to avoid ad fatigue is key to success. So let’s talk about 5 tips on how to do that!

5 Tips on Facebook Ad Frequency:

1- Facebook Ads perform best when the Ad Frequency ranges between 3-5. Below that consumers don’t see it enough, above that they see it too much and conversions start to fall due to ad fatigue which means your cost per conversion goes up.

2- Therefore, plan to launch new creatives when you exceed frequency of 5. Typically this is every 2-4 weeks. Does not need to be a big change, even a simple color change can work effectively. Bonus tip – video ads have the longest shelf life, generally 4-6 weeks vs images ads at 2-4 weeks.

3- Create a series of designs, maybe 6 sets of designs with slight variations in design, but same overall message / call to action. Run those for 3-6 months, then rotate back to the beginning or create a new series.

4- Exclude people that converted from your audience so you’re not wasting dollars on them. Can add them to a new campaign. Can also build other audiences to show different ads when users have watched say 50% of your video ad, that will move them to a new drip of ads.

5- Build the entire funnel up front. Come up with your CTA, create a landing page/conversion funnel. Then design series of 6 ads upfront. Set your targeting and start your ads. Remove converted people as you go. This “squeezes the towel” to get as many conversions as possible. Optimize based on data as you go. Rinse and repeat! Do this for every service/product you have!
