How To Increase The Average Transaction Value For Your Online Store – 9 Tips

Let’s break down 9 tips on how to increase average order value of your online store and increase the lifetime value of your customer!

Tip #1 – Provide good product recommendations. Build this into your product page and highlight in the product description as well! Build automated email journeys with cross-sell recommendations and coupons!

Tip #2 – Create discounts above order minimums and advertising that on your store! Add as a leaderboard banner, with your product recommendations and on your checkout/cart page.

Tip #3 – Consider bundling products into packages where they get a bit of a discount for buying the bundle vs a single product. Or, consider things like buy 2 get 1 free!

Tip #4 – Send a nice product care package with product recommendations, coupons and referral cards! Get them to come back!

Tip #5 – Hire a salesperson! Have them call and think each person that buys something, make sure they got it okay, ask for a review, tell them about other related products and follow up to turn them into a loyal customer! You can also add live chat to your website and have your sales person work that!

Tip #6 – Create a loyalty program. Reward your top customers with hot deals to keep them coming back and referring their friends!

Tip #7 – Dial in your email marketing campaigns and retargeting campaigns to stay top of mind.

Tip #8 – Try social media marketing where you highlight product bundles or how multiple products go together in a single post. Then link to that bundle landing page!
