How To Build A Brand From Scratch – 9 Steps To Success

When it comes to creating your brand from scratch, where do you start? Here’s 9 tips:

– Pick a name that’s easy to remember and easy to spell.

– Consider a name with a deeper meaning or story behind it.

– Pick a good tagline that goes with your name and you can integrate into your content and ads.

– Make sure the domain and socia profiles are available. If not, slightly add to name in a creative way to make it unique. Make sure no other businesses in your space have the same name.

– Look for logo inspiration. I like to use logopond.com to get ideas. You can search logos by keyword, industry, color, etc. Pick out 4 or 5 you really like.

– Design your logo based on the logos you like and your preferred colors. Hire a designer if you are not able to design the logo yourself.

– Put together your brand guidelines. Once the logo is finalized, pick your fonts, decide how your logo should look on a light background vs dark background, design your social media avatar, icons, brand voice, etc. The designer that designed your logo can also help with this.

– Trademark your name to protect your brand.

– Design website, social media, email campaigns, ad concepts, videos, swag, signage, etc. based on the killer brand you selected.
